Profile

Mrs Lee graduated with Honours in English and Literature from the University of Singapore and with credit from the Institute of Education.

Having been awarded a Distinction for her practical exams in teaching, she was recommended by her supervisor to the Ministry of Education for a teaching post in the Gifted Education Programme.

Upon graduation, she was posted to teach in a top girls' school in Singapore.  In this same school she was promoted to act as a Level Coordinator and later to Head the Gifted Education Program.

In 1995, she was handpicked by the Ministry of Education to be one of twenty-one teachers to represent the Singapore teaching profession in Japan.

Mrs Lee resigned from service to be the Curriculum Director of a private school specialising in creative writing and phonics for local students.  Here, she single-handedly researched and wrote its primary to secondary syllabuses.  In her stint with the school, it has grown from just a little over a hundred students to be one of the largest English Enrichment centres in Singapore.

As a teacher, Mrs Lee has received accolades for her creative approach to the teaching of English.  She has been highly recommended and sought after both in government service as well as the private sector.  To date, she has successfully taught levels from kindergarten to Junior College.

With the birth of her child, she now teaches English language reading and writing concepts in small groups.

Her distinguishing style remains her ability to quickly raise a student's confidence level in approaching English.  This she does with her self-developed and time-tested approach to the subject.
